YouTube Music pages need care. A Music watch URL can look like an ordinary video watch URL, and the current detector may recognize it. The content behind it can still be governed by separate licensing and access rules, so the parser may report that no permitted public format is available. A song title, artist page, or album page is not a single downloadable video link. Use an authorized purchase or platform download option for music you need offline.

Understanding the MP4 choices

A video download is not always one prebuilt file on YouTube. The picture may be available in several resolutions while audio arrives separately. When that happens, the relay prepares a combined MP4 before your browser receives it. The progress message is intentionally about preparation rather than a fake network percentage: the source does not currently expose a trustworthy byte-by-byte progress figure to the page. Keep the tab open and wait for the file request to start.

The first button favors a broadly compatible resolution up to 1080p; it does not promise 1080p for every video. Fixing common YT download problems

The detector says the link is invalid. Copy the address again from the actual video page. Verify that the ID is complete and the URL begins with a recognized YouTube or youtu.be host. A search page, creator profile, or bare playlist ID is not enough. For a Short, use its /shorts/ share link. The detector can find a URL inside pasted text, but it cannot infer a missing video ID from a title.

The result does not include the quality you expected. Look at the source video’s available settings on YouTube. A 4K label elsewhere on the site is conditional, and older or newly uploaded videos may have fewer renditions. A source that only exposes a lower resolution cannot be upscaled into genuine detail by selecting MP4. If a file exceeds the download cap, use a smaller choice or an authorized source for the original file.

The preparation step seems slow. A separate audio/video pair must be fetched and combined on the relay. Speed depends on upstream delivery and file size, not just your local browser. Keep the tab active; retry once only after an error appears. Repeated submissions consume security challenges and can reach a rate limit. If a token expires before transfer begins, resolve the video again to obtain a fresh one.

A mobile download did not enter Photos. Browsers save files to a downloads folder.
